PCW Update – COLUMN

Twelve Porsche Centres across the country are participating in Canada’s first Porsche Classic Restoration Competition.
The Porsche Centre Winnipeg entered a 1983, 911 SC in the competition.
Porsche Centre Winnipeg’s gold technician updated the entire suspension of the front and rear axles (wheel bearings, struts, ball joints, sway bar bushings, control arms). This also included replacing al the brake lines, brake rotors & pads. Brand new wheels installed for the front and rear along with a set of new N-Spec tires. We were able to corner balance the car after the update to properly align the car as if it were to drive like it came from factory.
Within the interior of the vehicle we had the headliner adjusted due to it sagging and installed a new factory steering wheel to replace the aftermarket wheel. Vehicle had an aftermarket alarm and security system that was tied into the vehicle we had to remove and correct all the wiring.
The engine had its regularly maintenance completed, and the entire exhaust system was replaced due to corrosion on the exhaust. We installed a new battery due to the previous battery being weak from the aftermarket accessories previously installed on this vehicle.
During this entire process we used only genuine original manufacture parts.
Stay tune to find out which Porsche Centre won.
