November’s meeting will be at Tony Roma’s (656 St. James St.) on November 7th.  Come for the meeting at 7 pm or earlier (6 pm) to have supper.

  2. Board Nominations and Elections 

Nominations will be accepted for positions on the Board for 2019 up until the November General Meeting.  All the current Board members have confirmed their willingness to stand in their positions for 2019 (Gord Favelle as President, Dennis Duncan as Vice-President, George Derwin as Secretary and John Sobczak as Treasurer). Election and voting (if required) will be at the November meeting.  A motion has been made by Andreas Kottschoth to add 2 more Board positions as Members at Large.  An e-mail has been sent out regarding this request with voting planned for January Meeting.

Red River Region Holiday Dinner

December 1st at the Manitoba Club.  Invitations are in the mail and should be arriving shortly.  If you haven’t heard yet the Grand Prize Draw at the Banquet is a day at the Los Angeles Porsche Experience Centre including airfare!!! You can only buy tickets for this draw (proceeds to go to charity) at the Banquet and you must be in attendance to win (donated by Braden Mueller of Porsche Centre Winnipeg). In addition there will be other door prizes (also donated by PCW and Red River Region PCA). There will be entertainment (Comedian Mike Green and guest) and a Porsche trivia contest with prizes.  Please come and join us for a great meal and a good time (as well as a chance to win a fabulous prize).

Please note that in case of a mail strike there are instructions on how to buy Banquet tickets and register your meal choices.

Red River Region’s 20th Anniversary Tour.

Plans are well in the works for the tour to the Rockies to take place June 13 to 16, 2019 at the spectacular new Copper Point Resort in Invermere BC, to celebrate Red River Region’s 20th anniversary (Thanks to Dennis & Beverly Duncan for all the work that is being put into this).  This location is just 2 hours past Banff. The trip will have 3 days of guided tours and plenty of time for further exploration on your own. More details will be discussed at future meetings.
