Photos and Report by A&S Kottschoth
Well, we did it again – Bemidji 4! 13 drivers/co-pilots came in 6 Porsches and a close relative, a Golf GTI. Gregg & Jean joined us from Wisconsin and Keith & Shelly came from Sioux Falls– WELCOME! And what fun time we had.
First order of business, it was Rich’s birthday on Friday. What a way to celebrate your special day. Happy Birthday again.
Rich had organized a reception for all participants and everyone enjoyed the snacks. Andreas and Sabine brought some items from this years Parade for the group.
Afterwards the group lounged around the fire place and shared some stories.
Day 2 started with a great breakfast at the Double Tree Hotel and at 9 am the group gathered at Paul Bunyan for a photo op.
After the picture we followed the crowd to watch a bull moose that was swimming in Lake Bemidji. A rare sight in this area for sure.
Now it was time to enjoy our cars. Rick picked again very nice driving roads. We stopped in Walker for lunch. By this time we had lost two cars on the way. Keith & Shelly’s ’82 911 SC broke down and David , our president stayed with them. Thankfully it wasn’t anything major, it turned out to be a lose relay.
Later in the afternoon the group was reunited. Everyone enjoyed dinner and plenty of stories were shared.
