Day 1 – 595km
Winnipeg to Kenora* via HWY 1/17, where the group will meet the organizer. Continue on HWY 17 with a pit stop in Ignace* and then turn north on HWY 599 to Silver Dollar. Turn west on HWY 642 to Sioux Lookout (great secondary curvy HWY over 74km low traffic – I checked with MTO the roads are OK).
Option 2: Winnipeg through “Steinbach’ (with Paz) HWY 12, US 313, Fort Frances – HWY 11 to HWY 502 (great secondary curvy HWY) To Dryden HWY 17 to Ignace and then turn north on HWY 599 to Silver Dollar. Turn west on HWY 642 to Sioux Lookout (great secondary curvy HWY over 74km low traffic)

Accommodation – Days Inn – Sioux Lookout
Day 2 – 620km
Pick up Lunch packages at Roy Lane Coffee Shop and then drive from Sioux Lookout to Silver Dollar (HWY 642 – great secondary curvy HWY over 74km low traffic) and then south on HWY 599 toward Igance *.West on HWY 17, turn on HWY 622 south to Atikokan (great secondary curvy HWY over 140km low traffic). In Atikokan * turn east on HWY 11 toward Thunder Bay. Turn south at HWY 588/593, a quick stop at the Silver Mountain Station*. Continue onto HWY 61 and then north to Thunder Bay.

Day 3 – ~ 700km
- From Thunder Bay via HWY 17 to Sabaqua, turn-off onto HWY 11. Follow HWY 11 west to Rainy River and in to the US and then HWY 12 back to Winnipeg.
- Or another option, direct back to WPG via HWY 17/1
All hotel reservations are the responsibility of the participants. We will book blocks of rooms in Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay. The reservations # will be emailed to the participants.
Food is the responsibility of the participants, except for the BBQ on Friday night.
We are asking for a $20 registration fee to off-set some of the cost.
Q: How does the registration work?
A: It is a “first -come, first -serve” registration, only registrations on our calendar page are excepted (http://www.redriverpca.org/event/nor2017/)
Q: All spots are taken, but I still like to join?
A: We have 15 spots available, but we can put you on the waiting list.
Q: Do I book my own accommodation?
A: Yes, but we will reserve blocks at hotels in Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay for a reduced rate. The booking code will be send out later. Please let the organizer know, after you have booked your rooms.
Q: When does the tour start? and where?
A: The tour starts on Friday July 28, 2017 at 8:00am. Start location TBA.
Q: Can I can't make it to Winnipeg on July 28 for 8:00 am, can I join the group at other stops?
A: Yes, just let us know where and we will let you know the time of the groups arrival at this point.
Q: Can I leave the group early?
A: Of cause, just let us know
Q: Do I need a passport?
A: Yes, you may need one on the last day, if you pass through the US on your way back.
Q: What is the cost for this trip?
A: A $20 registration fee, fuel for 2000km, extra oil for the car, two nights at a hotel (~$120 to $135 plus tax), food – lunch breaks, dinner in Thunder Bay, Float plane ride ($40/person – optional), allowance for speeding tickets (optional)
